Dr. Gerald Schell currently practices at Minimally Invasive Asc

 Currently playing a leading international role in the experimental development of single-level and two-level artificial discs for cervical disk problems, Dr. Gerald Schell is involved with numerous other collaborative scientific endeavors to help advance neurosurgical care. Overall, he is working on making something special in Saginaw. The best part is that Gerald is always aimed at pulling a patient with a dangerous medical problem back to his or her feet.


Dr. Schell completed a residency at S U N Y Upstate Medical University Hospital. He currently practices at Minimally Invasive Asc and is affiliated with Ascension St Marys Hospital. He accepts multiple insurance plans. He is a board certified in Neurosurgery.

Being highly passionate, Gerald will be doing pain management at Hills and Dales. It will include consultations, cervical injections, lumbar injections, sacroiliac injections, and spinal cord stimulation. Adding more to his achievements, he received the Spirit of St. Vincent Award. He helps develop surgical techniques that are being used around the world. He works for 80-100 hours a week and serves on the hospital’s Board of Directors.

Dr. Schell makes use of the advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques for the vast majority of his patients with spinal disc diseases. He has cured patients who previously had no hope for pain relief for osteoporotic compression fractures.

Gerald Schell has over 40 years of experience in the medical field. He has more experience with spine than other specialists in his area. He graduated from Michigan State University medical school in 1980. He is affiliated with medical facilities such as Ascension St Marys Hospital and Ascension Standish Hospital.

Undoubtedly, Gerald is a leader in employing leading edge technologies to access and repair spinal structures while minimizing the damage to the surrounding tissues. Through various hospital affiliations, Gerald operates a number of clinic and surgery locations throughout the state of Michigan.
