Dr. Gerald Schell employs leading edge technologies to repair spinal structures
Being a renowned neurosurgeon specialist; Dr. Gerald Schell has more than 40 years of experience in the medical field. He believes that making use of minimally invasive surgery techniques allow the spine surgeons to achieve the same goals of open surgery while minimizing the collateral damage associated with the open approaches.
Gerald implements the best surgical techniques and
technologies and is always aimed at providing stability in the lives of his
patients by solving their spinal issues. He is always dedicated to providing
the best patient care. He performed the first artificial lumbar disc surgery in
the state of Michigan, and currently he plays a leading international role in
the experimental development of single-level and two-level artificial discs for
cervical disk problems.
Dr. Gerald Schell employs
leading edge technologies to access and repair spinal structures while
minimizing damage to the surrounding tissues. He received the Spirit of St.
Vincent Award. He helps develop surgical techniques that are being used around
the world. He works for 80-100 hours a week and serves on the hospital’s Board
of Directors.
Soon Gerald will be doing pain management at Hills and
Dales. The techniques will include consultations, cervical injections, lumbar
injections, sacroiliac injections, and spinal cord stimulation. He will be
performing minimally invasive spinal surgeries at Hills and Dales.
Dr. Gerald Schell is
involved with numerous other collaborative scientific endeavors to help advance
neurosurgical care. He is always aimed at pulling a patient with a dangerous
medical problem back to his or her feet.
