Dr. Gerald Schell worked to care for the needs of Michigan patients
Being one of the most preeminent minimally invasive spine surgeons, Gerald Schell roots stem from the Thumb of Michigan. Gerald uses advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques for the vast majority of his patients with spinal disc disease.

technologies. He has built his practice and reputation around the philosophy of

Gerald employs leading edge technologies to access and

received the Spirit of St. Vincent Award. He helps develop surgical techniques
that are being used around the world.
The good news is that he will be doing pain management at
Hills and Dales. The techniques will include consultations, cervical
injections, lumbar injections, sacroiliac injections, and spinal cord
stimulation. He will be performing minimally invasive spinal surgeries at Hills
and Dales. Currently, Gerald practices at Minimally Invasive Asc and is
affiliated with Ascension St Marys Hospital. He accepts multiple insurance
plans. He is a board certified in Neurosurgery.
Gerald has performed novel procedures such as the three
dimensional CT reconstructive techniques with balloon kyphoplasty for patients
who previously had no hope for pain relief for osteoporotic compression
fractures.
Dr. Gerald Schell received his Doctor of
medicine degree from Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine
before completing a neurosurgical rotation at Syracuse University. The
university later offered him the directorship of its neurosurgical training
program, which he declined to continue caring for the needs of Michigan
patients.
